Great production effort..super idea. Troy in Texas
@ArchieLovesMe It was low carb that got me back into the kitchen and using my kitchen appliances too.
This looks good. I need go buy a blender.
As for saturated fats and the source of the Calories, I don’t see the problems. The problem of sat fats are greatly exagerated, and if you doubt that, check out my cholesterol and heart health video on Atkins.
As for needing carbs, there is no phase of Atkins without Carbs, but if you are saying there aren’t enough. I have worked out HIIT, ran full and half marathons, and been extremely healthy on 30-45g per day.
As for the amount of Calories, eat more if still hungry.
I dont get this; all the calories are coming from saturated fat in the cream and butter. Its not enough calories for anyone who is active and its no better than carbs, which you need.
Cauliflower, onion, cabbage, and Broccoli are in the “Other” vegetable category, so 1 cup per day on Induction. When you get to the OWL phase, you can increase your intake to your CCLL. (Watch the OWL video for when that is.)
hi i was just wondering. how much cauliflower can you eat on the lowcarb diet. Ive been gearing up to start the atkins diet. but I eat a lot. an I eat alot of brocolli and cauliflower. I can eat a bag of brocolli an cauliflower with a problem. is it low enough that You can eat it like your at a buffet. same with the onions. and cabage
Hi. I just want to thank you for your posts and your success. I made this recipe for myself and discovered that you’re absolutely right, it’s comfort food. Yesterday, I was in enormous need of comfort, and I turned to your soup. It worked. I had a successful day. I did not break my diet, did not binge. I’ve lost about 50 pounds since the first of the year, following Atkins, but keeping it low fat. Your success gives me hope, because I have another 100 to go.
I just made it and it’s delicious. Thanks so much for posting this!
I often use a heavy cream from a local dairy, but in a pinch, I’ll buy heavy whipping cream from Wal-mart.
It sounds tasty! What kind of cream do you use?
thanks…not trying to be a pain…it is SO good. I think part of my issue is I was overeating and would get so mad and the yo yo dieting wrecked my metabolisim. I read Atkins New Revolution front to back and found where I was messing up. Hope it is salvagable..I am measuring now and teaching myself to recognize hunger and boredom. I was in a bad accident and on crutches for 11 months and develpoed bad habits. Never, ever again.
The recipe makes about 8 servings, so the Calorie and gram information is per divided piece. It will actually be a little smaller than a cup.
I am making this right now…how much is considered one serving? I am assuming 1 cup cooked?
Thanks so much. Your story is really inspirational!
I don’t personally agree with bar/shake approach. I have seen too many stall and fail after eating the stuff. It might be good for a once in awhile convenience food, but it shouldn’t be an every day thing. I would however count the full amount of carbs against my daily count (not the promoted net effective carbs).
Thank you so much for these videos. My question for you is, I bought these atkins shakes/bars to begin my induction phase only to find out that they may cause my weight loss to stall. I ended up throwing them out. What is your opinion of these supplement: is it a money making gimic?
I just made this soup last night and it’s excellent. Great recipe, thanks!!
Grow up!
youre a joke!!
Tried it,
It was great thank you
that looks awesome thanx! cant wait to try it.
The pizza episode is one of the “lost” episodes or a video whose sound quality was so poor that I couldn’t post it. The recipe is pretty simple. It’s like 3 eggs, half cup heavy cream, Italian Seasoning, TBS Grated Parm, garlic powder blended well poured over 8 oz of Mozzarella Cheese. Cook for 30 minutes or until light brown.
Cover with no sugar pizza sauce (Ragu) and toppings of choice, and 2-3 oz of cheese.
I heard that you had a low carb recipe for pizza but can’t find it on youTube.
I love all your other recipes, delish & easy! So am looking forward to trying the pizza recipe (if I can find it!)
nice…gonna try that this week…haven’t been on atkins for a while, but need to go back on it…doctors are on my weight again (i’m a diabetic)…but didn’t think I could have bisque on atkins…this is so awesome there are vids out there like this…now i have something else i can add to my diet.
thanks buddy.
